Constantly aware of innovations, we now have a 3D scanner able to generate a very accurate image of the foot. The latter is electronically sent to the laboratory which will reproduce digitally the mold and allow the 3D impression of the orthotics.
Previously, the footprints were taken with a compressible foam, which was then forwarded to the laboratory. In addition to being less precise, this way of doing things involved risks of breakage and loss.
The creation of foot orthotics based on a 3D footprint is a highly accurate innovative technology. The 3D scanner enables to deliver a custom-made product best suited to the shape of the foot, for an increased comfort.
Moreover, this new technique reduces our ecological footprint. In fact, it requires less transportation and needs up to 95% less materials. This small amount of used materials is recyclable.
The acquisition of the 3D footprint technology is part of our commitment to continuous innovation in order to improve our services for foot orthotics and, especially, to enhance comfort of your feet.
