Be reassured : During the first days of his life, it is completely normal if your baby’s nails are stuck to the skin of the little toes. It is all the more common if they grow very quickly.
In order to avoid slight injuries, we suggest to never trim the nails of a very young baby. Wait a few weeks, and when the nails will be a little stronger, you will then be able to use a baby nail clipper or round-tip scissors. Trim them straight over their full width. This will prevent ingrown nails.
If you are concerned about the appearance of your newborn’s toenails, do not hesitate to consult in podopediatrics.
A great day to all parents of newborns !
